Our first blog post! How exciting! I thought I would start by telling you a little about our small-batch production process. I’ve gone from making 2 gallons of sauce in my kitchen to making 40 gallons at a production facility. However, it is essentially the same process to mix and heat the ingredients. There is no high-fructose corn syrup in our recipe and no preservatives added. Once it reaches the right temperature, the sauce is distributed through a tube from the stainless steel mixer to a machine used to fill the bottles, which is done by hand. We put seals and caps on the glass bottles and a nifty little machine labels them for packaging. When you are used to manually doing everything at home this process is pretty amazing and very efficient! Now we can bring Porky Goodness to the masses!
